Born in the Hills, Dedicated to Ethical Tourism
Manjirul Northeast Tours was founded on a simple vision: to introduce travelers to the authentic, unspoiled soul of Northeast India while empowering indigenous hill communities.
"Northeast India Isn't Just Our Business — It Is Our Home."
Raised amidst the emerald green tea gardens of Assam and the mist-laden peaks of Meghalaya, Manjirul grew up exploring tribal trails, hidden water springs, and sacred groves that few tourists ever see.
Observing that commercial tourism was treating Northeast India as a superficial sightseeing checklist, Manjirul launched Manjirul Northeast Tours. Our aim is to build deep, respectful connections: staying in village-run homestays, eating organic Khasi and Bodo farm meals, and hiring mountain-certified local drivers.
"When you travel with us, your money directly puts food on the tables of indigenous Khasi, Monpa, and Mishing artisans and guides."
The Four Pillars of Manjirul Tours
How we ensure every expedition is safe, respectful, and extraordinary.
1. Eco-Preservation
We enforce a strict leave-no-trace policy. We minimize single-use plastics and encourage travelers to refill water at designated mountain springs and local partners.
2. Direct Community Wealth
We bypass corporate hotel chains wherever possible in favor of clean, hospitable homestays run by native families in villages like Nongriat, Mawlynnong, and Dirang.
3. Mountain Road Safety
Himalayan roads demand respect. Our fleet of 4x4s and SUVs undergoes rigorous safety checks before every departure, steered by licensed hill veterans.
4. Honest & Transparent
Zero hidden charges, zero forced shopping stops. Every itinerary lists exact inclusions, vehicle types, tolls, and permit costs upfront.
